Portraits
The long awaited portrait pleases the subject. Phew.
Maggie 18x24 Oil on Linen
It's satisfying to deliver the finished commissioned work. This painting was so much fun to do. I love challenges. If they don't happen on their own, I'll create them. We wanted this painting to include items from the family summer home. Wicker sofa, red begonia, art on the wall.
Thanks for stopping by. I'd love to hear your comments.

Wow! You realy have exceeded yourself on this one. Great on everything: use of color, atmosphere, and not unimportant on resemblance. Congratulations on this fine piece, Dale.
Hi Dale, Like the portrait, very natural, looks really good. All the best, Steve
Wow Dale! This is a wonderful portrait excellent!!!!!
Hi Dick, Steve and Sandra,
I love hearing your supportive comments. Thank you all. I'm eager to start on the next.
i am speechless
Oh my gosh. Right off camera (easel) is a pitcher of fresh squeezed lemonade, a couple of lobster pots--still dripping--and a tube of sunscreen. I can hear the greenheads buzzing through the screen door and smell the salt in the air. And there is that relaxed contentment one achieves after a day in the sun. This is brilliant.
Fascinating work.
It has been delightful
to visit your gallery.
Good Creations
This portrait has a lovely feel to it Dale, you've really captured the likeness of your sitter, but also the feeling of light in a summer home. Love it!
Nina, Mel, skizo, and Liz,
Thanks for your reactions. It is nice to hear what you see.
Beautifully done, Dale. Great likeness and design. Such a challenge to paint skin underneath white clothing and make it look realistic, but you did a super job!
This and your other portrait are beautiful. Very bold!
wünschte ich könnte auch so gut malen !!!! LG BEATE
