Sunlit Sunkist

oil on something. 5x7

In an ideal world I might subscribe to the "eat local" philosophy that began at least 20 years ago. In that ideal world I'd be spending the winter in a place that supports the growth of oranges. Until then, hooray for trucking.

This painting reminds me of the one time I went skiing, and when we took a break at the ski lodge, Mom brought out a couple of oranges and told me they were her snack when she used to ski. I've never had a more delicious orange. Thanks for the memory!

You're welcome. Do you think you'll go skiing again? It's pretty wonderful!

It appears that the light is shining through these slices. Nice job!

Thank you, Jill. I was almost happy with my level of success at getting the light to shine through. May be time to try a few more.
