The Broken Egg

The Broken Egg 6x6 Oil on Linen Panel

Another from Carol's workshop. Although I fussed with it when I got home because I was having medium issues last week. Too oily, the shadow wasn't sticking to the linen. And you know how annoying it is to have shadows lying about your feet.

I can see this one as a giant yyytuggggy. What I was trying to say was I can see this one as a giant 6766666666. What I was trying to say was that I can see this one as a giant 36 x 36. Sorry, Chromium keeps walking across my keyboard.

Nina,
hahaha. Chromium has never liked me. I have a hard time imagining anyone wanting a 36x36 raw egg. Maybe fried. Eliminating the risk of salmonella poisoning.
Side note. I had a lot of fun painting 30x36 boats. Now I find that they are over-sized (with frames)for the most appropriate galleries. :( Too much to consider when you're trying to follow your creative inclinations.

Dick,
Thank you so much. I'm trying to see more clearly.

Wow, this is beautiful. Eggs are so hard to paint.
Thanks so much for leaving a comment on my blog.

Hi Dale, like the new still life pieces, and you get to go to paint with Carol Marine, so lucky. I'm back to normal (whatever that constitutes these days), and painting again, thanks for asking. All the best, Steve.

Dale, thanks so much for your comment on my roadster.
This painting is a beauty. I'd say you 'got it' in Carol's class.
