Radishes Return

Radish Bunch 5x7 Oil on Linen Panel

When I was visiting my sister and brother-in-law in Portland, they served radishes as an hors d' oeuvre. Sliced, with butter, sea salt and pepper. Yummy.
While I was painting these, Carol warned me that I would have only about 20 minutes before the leaves wilted away to nothing. I wonder why that happens so much faster than with other root vegetables?

Love your latest works. Wonderful those radishes, and with that time pressure!

So, did you get out the butter and sea salt after you painted these? Hard to believe you could paint something that good in such a short time. Wow.

Hi Dana, Dick, and Mel and thanks for the encouragement. Well, I only had to rush on the greens and actually I think I should time myself from here on in to avoid overworking things.
Yes, Melanie. I took the radishes to a cocktail party and sliced them up, while assuring everyone that I hadn't smudged them with cadmium paint. :) We had the heart healthy version, though. No butter and salt.
